Sleep training after 6 months old

Sleep training after 6 months old.

The success behind getting your infant to settle back to sleep is not as obvious as it may first seem, especially for those children who haven't learned to self soothe. Some babies start to develop this skill at 4 months, but I can assure you many don't! By offering solutions that suit your child's emotional needs and explaining the theory behind my tips and techniques, parents have felt confident when sleep training. I don't use the cry-it-out method but instead a very gentle and reassuring technique with good associations.

Maternity support 0-6 weeks

Extensive newborn experience.

It can be quite an overwhelming experience, and exhausting, once you take your precious bundle home from hospital. Often the support needed is emotional support and confidence with the new skills you are learning by the hour. Using good sleep associations and easing winding and colic issues I can help you through the difficulties experienced in the first few months of parenthood. You might want help with breast feeding or support during postnatal depression. It could be that all that is needed is a good nights sleep, I can night-nanny and take over for as many nights as you wish. I treat families with confidentiality and sensitivity. If you think you may have postnatal depression I offer emotional and practical support for those who are struggling in the early days.

If you would like support with Maternity nursing, establishing breastfeeding or providing support through postnatal depression please get in touch. Clients have been amazed at the difference early intervention makes. I offer flexible night or day support lasting from a few hours to a few months. Please get in touch if you have a problem you feel I can help you with.

Often all that is needed is a little help getting your child back on track.

Parenting support for children's behaviours and development.

Often all that is needed is a little help getting your child back on track.

By taking time with you to understand the situation I can offer practical support, tips and ideas to help your child get back on track. As children grow more independent their routine needs to reflect all that they are learning to do. This can result in fractious times and exhausting days when it isn't going well. Often a few small changes to the routine and insights to the minds of our Terrific Two's will bring back the fun. This is one of Xanthe's most popular services.

NB This will be done by a video call consultation until the Coronavirus situation changes. It has proved to be very successful.
